Wireless integrated is a small, highly specialist development house working in the field of cutting-edge wireless technologies and solutions. Our business model involves inventing, developing and prototyping advanced wireless products for others with a view to providing low cost, high performance solutions to existing and future markets. We offer consultancy and development services, outsourcing services and complete product development to innovative companies who integrate microelectronics and embedded software as an important part of their products.

Besides consultancy and development services Wireless Integrated offers to take full responsibility for client's development projects, based on fixed time and pricing, and conducted at Wireless Integrated premises.

Wireless Integrated solves complete product development projects involving mechanics, hardware and software, test, production preparation, as well as hand-over to final production.

Product development with microelectronics and embedded software, jointly known as 'embedded systems', is rapidly taking on virtually every business domain and industry. Traditional mechanical products are transforming into 'intelligent' products where new features and key functionality is enabled through the integration of electronics and embedded software.

Embedded systems are moving from niche status into mainstream and now encompass products in industries and business areas where knowledge of electronics and software has not previously been part of the essential product development skills. This requires competences and resources that most companies do not possess today.

Wireless Integrated offers a range of services in relation to intelligent product development:

Routes to market

Wireless Integrated is totally technology neutral and our routes to market include selling particular Intellectual Property blocks outright, partnering on specific projects, or by licensing IP - by application and/or territory.

Indeed Wireless Integrated has a very flexible approach to partnerships or trading relationships.

By making our IP as widely available as possible we can enable others to add value and/or functionality to their new or existing product ranges. Our wireless technology has low production and maintenance expense factored in from the drawing board up and so out-of-factory cost leaves plenty of room for added value and excellent profit margins.

Technological Expertise and Outlook

It is our considered view that no single technology is going to dominate wireless space in the foreseeable future. Accordingly, Wireless Integrated believes that is very important to work with all the many alternatives on offer simultaneously - ensuring compatibility and, wherever necessary, enabling multi-protocol applications.

Accordingly, our in-house skill set encompasses:

• High frequency 13.56Mhz RFID passive tag technology

• RFID UHF (Ultra high frequency) passive tag technology

• 433Mhz, 900Mhz+ and 2.45Ghz low power radio expertise

• GSM GPRS communication solutions

However, Wireless integrated has recently taken the strategic decision to concentrate largely on the unique radio technology that the company has developed over the past few years. This technology takes the form of our specialized anti-collision algorithms, wireless network management architecture, radio protocols including:

• Wireless connectivity for existing hardwired products

• Construction of remote monitoring equipment of all kinds

• Active tagging requirements at a variety of wavebands

In fact wherever the transmission of data via low power wireless link is desirable or necessary we believe that Wireless Integrated has some of the best technology available today.

Core Building Blocks

Generic Hardware Building Blocks

Wireless Integrated has designed a number of generic hardware building blocks that allow rapid development of design projects. These hardware building blocks are complemented with a suite of software drivers that allow projects and products to be developed in a a cost effective manner.

Generic Microprocessor Platforms

Wireless Integrated has a great deal of experience in designing microprocessor hardware. We have developed a sound methodology for designing real time low current boards based on Atmel, PIC, 8051, Motorola and Hitachi platforms. Our generic building blocks include microprocessor memory, LCD, LED, Bus, Interface and power control circuitry.

Generic Interface Solutions

Most designs require an interface to the outside world in a format that can be supported by a PC or legacy system. By providing standard hardware interfaces that can be connected to other systems projects can be realised in the fastest time. The generic interfaces supported are RS232, RS485, RS422, USB, Ethernet, Parallel, SPI, I2C, JTAG, PCI, PS2, Compact Flash, PCMCIA and Fbus.

Generic Radio Hardware Solutions

Whilst most third party radio modules and radio ASIC technology can be used with our hardware it is the Wireless Integrated software that provides the key to our radio solutions. We have designed our own radio modules at 434 MHz, 868 MHz and 2.4 GHz. We can use Radio Chipcon, Metrix, RFM, Melexis, Micrel and Wood and Douglas radio modules to build radio based solutions.

Generic Power Supply Solutions

Wireless Integrated has designed a number of generic power supply blocks both linear and switch mode. These blocks have a variety of uses from low noise low dropout applications for radio to battery charging and current monitoring applications.

Generic RFID Solutions

Over a period of 5 years we have designed and developed a number of systems and devices that allows data capture from RFID. We have developed a number of barcode and RFID readers that allow data to be collected and processed in a wired and wireless manner. To complement this hardware a range of low and high level software drivers are also available.
