GPS
GPS is used to track the object location . In GPS system the satellites sent radio waves and the user segment captured it and decode it and gives location of object . They are spaced 60 degrees apart and are inclined at about fifty-five degrees with respect to the equator. In this configuration at least four satellites are available from any location on the earth’s surface at all times. GPS receivers convert SV signal into position, velocity and time estimates. This process requires four satellites to compute the four dimension.
GPS tracking system consist of three main section
1> Space segment
This part consists of the GPS satellites (space vehicles, or SVs) that send radio signal from space. There are currently 24 satellites that orbit the earth every twelve hours. They are spaced 60 degrees apart and are inclined at about fifty-five degrees with respect to the equator. In this configuration at least four satellites are available from any location on the earth’s surface at all times.
2> Control segment
This part of the system consists of tracking stations located around the world. Theses stations measure signals from satellites, compute their precise orbital data, and clock corrections.
3> User segment
This component consists of the GPS receivers . GPS receivers convert SV signal into position, velocity and time estimates. This process requires four satellites to compute the four dimension of X, Y, Z (position) and time.
GPS receivers are composed of an antenna, tuned to the frequencies transmitted by the satellites and then calculate the location with respect to satellite.
Receiver section
a highly-stable clock
They may also include a display for providing location and speed information to the user.
A receiver is often described by its number of channels: (this signifies how many satellites it can monitor simultaneously. Originally limited to four or five, )
In GPS personal tracking, the tracker captured the radio waves from satellite and then the tracker calculate
the location . And then sent this date via GSM or CDMA network to mobile.
There are three type of personal tracking
1> Child tracking
2> Elderly tracking
3> Professional Tracking
Child tracking: In this method of tracking , parents can track there child on single click on mobiles or just logging on to web server.
the tracking device will be placed on bag or inside dress of child.
Elder tracking: In case of elder people then need help at any time .GPS personal tracking provide them security and safety.
Device can be programmed in such a way that, it one touch dial button will send you alerts and call you in case of emergency and you can reach to elder people.
In vehicle tracking system the tracking device be placed hidden on body of vehicle . And the battery back-up for this tracking device will be obtained from car battery back-up or we can also provide separate batter y back –up to this tracking device.. The transmitters are not turned on until they are needed.
In the event of a theft, the transmitter is activated by the vehicle’s owner, allowing the location of a car to be sent to owner. This way car position can trace out
Fleet management is the management of a company’s vehicle fleet. Fleet management includes commercial motor vehicles such as cars, vans and trucks. Fleet (vehicle) management can include a range of functions, such as vehicle financing, vehicle maintenance, vehicle telematics (tracking and diagnostics), driver management, fuel management and health & safety management. Fleet Management is a function which allows companies which rely on transportation in their business to remove or minimize the risks associated with vehicle investment, improving efficiency, productivity and reducing their overall transportation costs, providing 100% compliance with government legislation (duty of care) and many more. These functions can be dealt with by either an in-house fleet-management department or an outsourced fleet-management provider.
